うちは残念ながら使っていないのですが、BiNDというホームページ制作用ソフトを作っているデジタルステージの平野さんという方の講演を聴いたことがあります。
その中で印象的だったのが、「Webはどうして編集会議しないですか？」でした。

- 「大丈夫です、仕様はどうしましょうか？XHTML+CSSでやりますよね？CMSは？」

- 「Word Pressでやるって聞いてますんで、テンプレート作るのはこっちでやります。UTF-8でやってくださいね。」

- 「じゃあ、必要なデザインとサイトマップは今週中に用意しますね。」
- デザイナー
- 「原稿と要素はどうなってます？」
- ディレクター
- 「そのへんはお客さんに用意してもらいますよ。まぁ見栄えよく適当にお願いします。」
- SEOエンジニア
- 「SEO的にはテキストが○○文字くらい欲しいとこなんですけど」
- ディレクター
- 「そのへんはバランスよく見えるようにやっといて」
- デザイナー
- 「はーい」
- ディレクター
- 「あと、集客はSEOとツイッターとブログでやるんで、そのへんも適当に…」
こんな会議で進行している案件、けっこうありませんか？
たしかに、デザイン、コーディングにかかる時間は膨大ですし、それぞれが専門職なので目の前にある仕事に集中するのは当たり前なんですが、何か大事なことを忘れてないですか？
逆に、当たり前の事を忘れていませんか？

- 「このクライアントは、集客よりもブランド力の向上を求めています。」
- デザイナー
- 「では、CIはちゃんとしないとですね。あと、カラーの指定なんかありますか？」
- ディレクター
- 「そこはウチから提案しましょう。エンドユーザーは30代の女性が多いらしいけど」
- デザイナー
- 「商品の魅力を引き出す意味で言えば、もっと若い世代に訴えたほうが良いかもですね。」
- ディレクター
- 「戦略についてはクライアントと詰めてきます。」
- デザイナー
- 「一番訴えたい事を強調したいし、それに対する説得力が欲しいと思うので、構成考えましょう。」
- コーダー
- 「サイトマップはどうなってますか？更新頻度は？」
- ディレクター
- 「今回、信頼性が重要なので、原稿については専門のライターを探してるとこです。あと、開発部門の方にもインタ ビュー予定です。情報量は濃くなるので整理が必要ですね。」
- コーダー
- 「それなら、CMS入れて更新しやすくしたほうがいいですね。クライアントのリテラシーはどんなです？」
- ディレクター
- 「Web担当は居ないのと、ワードとメールがそこそこ使える程度です。トレーニングが必要でしょうね。」
- コーダー
- 「じゃあ、MovableTypeにWYSIWYGエディタという組み合わせでいきましょう。SEO考慮は？」
- ディレクター
- 「販路の拡大というよりブランド力の向上なので、検索でヒットすれば良いってもんでも無いです。ただ、あとからコ ンサル入りやすいように…」
こういう会議が必要なんじゃないかな。と思います。お客様にも積極的に参加してもらいたいですね。
専門性が高い人＝コミュニケーション能力の低い人というわけでは無いはずなのに、どうしてWeb業界ではこういう会議が行われないのか？私も不思議 でならないです。
さて、こんな会議が行われない理由の一つとして、平野さんが仰ってるには、Web制作の現場での、無理なスケジューリングが影響しているのでは無い かと指摘していました。制作にかかる時間と労力をもっと軽減すれば、戦略的なことを話しあう会議や仕切りにもっと時間が取れるんじゃないかと。
そんな思いから、簡単ホームページ制作ソフトの作成に着手したんだそうです。
Chopstickとしても、もっとお客様からヒヤリングをしたいし、ディスカッションもしていきたいです。綺麗にかっこよくデザインするのは難し いことでは無いですが、全部にちゃんと理由が無いといかんと思うからです。

どう思われたい？
このサイトのゴールは？問い合わせ？販売？認知？
